Our recipe for perfect potato flakes: Controlled cultivation!
Potato flakes are only as good as the raw potatoes they are made from. That’s why at Agrarfrost, we focus on superior quality at every stage of the cultivation process. Our quality assurance policy is based on a specially designed, integrated farming system that is unique in Europe. It all starts with selecting the proper soil. Only the best plots of farmland in Germany are considered for cultivation. Four hundred certified and monitored contract farmers cultivate the arable areas, predominantly using natural, organic methods.
In a closed-cycle system, only suitable potato varieties from our own cultivation are selected and grown. At 5 to 6 years, the crop rotation cycle is unusually long, which preserves the soil and yields excellent crops – to ensure optimal production of high-quality potato flakes.

QUALITY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY!
In international competition, product quality makes all the difference, since only those companies that reliably supply their customers with superior goods will earn their trust over the long term. At Agrarfrost, potato flakes are not produced until after they have been ordered, using a gentle process strictly aligned to the individual customer requirements. This guarantees the freshness and quality of the specialties that are made from the flakes. Every production step – from the seed potatoes through to delivery of ready-to-use flakes – is subjected to our own stringent quality management system. The system also meets international audit standards, such as the ISO 9001 standard, HACCP criteria, and the American AIB audit. Product quality is monitored in-house on a daily basis and additional quality audits are conducted by external bodies at regular intervals. Moreover, state-of-the-art processing and filling equipment, as well as a closed silo plant, ensure the outstanding quality of Agrarfrost potato flakes.
